Hybrid – Onsite Wednesdays (one day per week)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst I to support Small and Medium Business (SMB), residential, and government aggregation customers throughout the enrollment-to-billing lifecycle. This role will focus on handling enrollment exceptions and rejects, supporting billing processes, analyzing large volumes of customer data, and helping resolve operational issues. Candidates with retail energy experience are preferred; however, individuals with relevant billing or operational experience in other industries will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Support customers throughout the enrollment-to-billing lifecycle.
• Handle enrollment exceptions, rejects, and related discrepancies.
• Support dual-bill, bill-ready, and rate-ready processes.
• Work with electricity and natural gas accounts, primarily within the Ohio market.
• Review and analyze large volumes of customer data to identify issues and discrepancies.
• Support daily billing activities and help address billing-related issues.
• Investigate operational issues and apply solution-based problem-solving approaches.
• Recognize and prioritize urgent enrollment rejects and other time-sensitive operational activities.

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly VLOOKUP and/or XLOOKUP.
• Ability to work with and analyze large volumes of customer data.
• Ability to investigate issues and identify appropriate solutions.

Preferred:

• Experience in retail energy operations, particularly enrollment and billing.
• Familiarity with electricity and natural gas account processes.
• Previous experience in billing-related roles in other industries, including healthcare or medical billing.
• Basic SQL knowledge is a plus but is not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
